Teaching the department correction way and then there’s the right way…
Let's start by watching all correction officers u will be amazed what u will see by what I been watching rykers is out of control due to poor management poor resources poor staff btw look at the ppl they hire same as housing parks dept it just tells u it's all controlled
Much Respect 🫡
Sorry, these young recruits are out of shape and down right fat. When I was a boy in the 60's, police officers had to be in shape with nice town bodies.
God bless the boldest
half of them will be gone in a few months, this department values crooks more than their officers
The BOSSES DON'T HAVE YR BACK...Take FDNY where yr LIKED & RESPECTED and have a LIFE...DOCS SUCKS
Good luck stay safe . I was in. C76 from 1986-2006 as a officer . If I could do it so could you. May GOD be with you all . LG 8745
Why show the cell phone?
Congrats to new boldest. Be an example and keep honest. God bless
Don't join this agency. Only life you will change is your and its going to become more Miserable. 💯 You'll never see day light. Mandated for the rest of your life.
Lol why are they teaching them to strike?? If you strike an inmate you’re the one in trouble so what’s the point???
what a joke. get rid of the HALT act.
My respect for the boldest always wanted to work there growing up.
7 years later and WOOOOOOOOOW!!!!
I'm a former correctional officer (GS-6, 7, and then 8/ senior officer specialist) with the US Bureau of Prisons and worked at the NYC-MCC. That's where Epstein killed himself. I'm also an EMT with the volunteer fire department and have been on a thousand ambulance calls. Officer Jones made an absolute mistake removing that injured driver. He could've sustained serious neck and spinal-cord injuries. Unless the car is sinking in water or is on fire, don't move patients without first placing a neck brace, collar around their neck, and putting them on a backboard. This is done by trained and certified responders. I remember an off-duty cop getting paralyzed by a well-intentioned citizen just like this. The cop is now in a wheelchair for life. I heard his wife left him months later. The DOC is wrong by rewarding this with official recognition. They should create more in-house awards compared to CO's looking for bogus awards outside. She said "bravery". What bravery and risks are she speaking of? Helping someone out of a car is bravery?
where is the full video
Get ready for triple tours with no meal relief
The only thing hurts is your eyes, it just feels like there’s a lot of dust particles in your eyes which makes you not wanna open it. And it hurts after 5 minutes or so on your face where you got sprayed
Proud of this am@zing colleague
Thank you Officer Jones! ❤
She wanted to help somebody, you hear that kids? AND SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHO WAS IN THE CAR!!
Thank Wakanda for this diversity hire.
Then you’re gonna say damn the money is not even worth it 100,000 when gross while inflation is off the roof milk is five dollars a gallon bread is five dollars a loaf rent is skyrocketing in the city and you don’t even see the hundred thousand dollars because they’re gonna tax the hell out of you. You gonna get around $60,000 cash a year and then you can divide that by 12 months.
You won’t know the real corrections how bad things are until you get in there
And guess what they choose the people to do these videos only the ones that have a good post but the ones who have a crappy post they will never go to them and say oh how you like your job.
Not only that they are advertising that the take-home pay is 130,000 which is a lie complete lie your regular take home pay is around 96,000. That is what you will see every check.. now the department what they’re doing is they are telling you to do forced labor and they’re adding that in there too which is overtime which a lot of overtime. The police department makes $130,000 without overtime. The city is very smart how they portray the salary.
A lot has changed since seven years ago. Things are even worse. Nobody wants this job. The department is having a hard time hiring people. The pay is very low compared to what is expected of us more work less pay.. job is getting dangerous day by day. From the commissioner all the way down to chief everyone just wants a check and go home. that is the biggest problem.
I heard rookie year you can make up to 90K with all the OT so how would pay be low ? I know starting pay expect 45k
@@Rich4ever-gr2ho you’re not gonna wanna do overtime once you enter GRVC OR AMKC enter the jail with things are upside down. You’re gonna be counting your minutes of when are you going to finish your eight hours and 31 minutes?
You'll only be the future commissioner if you're liberal and pro inmate!
The changes needed are those that handle inmates and dealing swiftly and punishing those that are assaultive to staff and violate rules. Your BS on further officer training will do nothing to solve the problem but only advance your job with the Department as trying to do something which in reality is absolutely nothing!
What have you really learned from wearing that uniform?
This Mayor spent his entire career with the Police Department playing the race card.
Pretty much so. I started back in 1980 and only 1 in 4 hired stayed on that job.
Good luck. I did 20 years there.
You can count the number of Jews on that job on one hand and have fingers left! Lol
The job is pro inmate and against staff. Thats what happened when they started Broad Banding and did away with tests to advance beyond ADW. The job went South and has continued to do so.
ADW?
Im jealous of this clown Mayor when as a NYC Police Officer started 100 blacks in law enforcement. They basically played the race card against every fellow Officer that had to use their weapon against anyone who was a minority. I tried to start 100 whites in Corrections against every racist act towards whites working in that department. The only problem was that I could only come up with 72 people.
They would always salt the Rikers Island Bridge following the first accident rather than be proactive and salt before!
Is a 45 out of 50 a good score?
I ❤ loooooooooove it.
Let us know how we can help. We share tactics and strategies.
How can we help? Can help with tactics and strategies.
Please stay away from this job. Highly unorganized. Senior Officers Bully and Haze the new incoming recruits. Always working extreme overtime.
I can't wait
how many still there now?🤨
I don't wish you luck. grant yourself the skill to know the job pay attention to experienced officers it's the things that won't be in a book that will last and call your union for insight . stay safe.😊 make your probation EASY
Shout out to jones, he was one of the coolest cats in corrections training those Indian/guyanese looking guys were annoying asf, jones and the boricua brother were two of the best trainers you could ever ask for
